  お会式一乗まつり

     Near Nakano-Fujimicho Station on the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line
in Suginami-ku, Tokyo

     
This gorgeous and lively festival is held in memory of the distinguished priest Nichiren and Rev. Nikkyo
      Niwano, Founder of Rissho Kosei-kai. They devoted their lives to disseminating the teachings of
      Shakyamuni Buddha through the Lotus Sutra and passed away in October.

10:50 - 12:30 Sunday service in English at the worship room on the 5th floor of Fumonkan Hall
12:30 - 18:00 Mando Parade          IBC Parade: 16:09
The performers of 44 parties in traditional costumes march playing the bamboo
flutes, ringing bells and beating drums. They bob mando and twirl matoi powerfully
in the air with their rhythmic shouts.
10:00 - 19:00 Food stalls are open in the parking lot next to Fumonkan Hall.
